Socrates and Phaedrus paused under the Plane Tree for a moment to discuss the nature of Love, Rhetoric, and other things. As teachers, Phaedrus and I find we have much in common. We both think we understand things pretty well … that is, until a guru shows us that we are fools. We both love knowledge to the point of obsession, and we must be reminded to visit Life once in awhile lest we suffer the fate of the cicadas.
